Update October 12, 2009
The work shift will remain one 10-hour shift from 7am-5pm M-F next week.  Travel lanes will continue to be narrowed down for remaining work items, specifically, electrical work, concrete median curb and cap work, landscaping, and sign installation.  Traffic lane closures within the project limits can be expected, so motorists need to be aware of, and follow signs and channeling devices.

Other related work will be as follows:

Steet lighting, Sign Installation, and Landscaping Work will continuenext week at the Airport Intersection and at the Alkali Cr. Road Intersection.  Fencing work East of Rimtop Drive along Airport Road will continue next week. Sign Bridges in the vicinity of the Airport Intersection will be installed next week from 1am to 4am daily.  Traffic lanes and routes will be closed with limited access during these time frames to allow equipment in the roadway to install these Sign Bridges.  Also, guardrail work and waterline insulation work will be completed in the vicinity of the Boothill Cemetary on Airport Road and Swords Bypass.

Traffic is being detoured just west of the Alkali Creek Intersection to allow for bridge work.  Expect this detour to remain in place until June 2009.  Expect delays for trucks crossing the travel way west of the detour.

Crews will begin removing this detour beginning Monday, August 10.  Crews will be hauling across Alkali Creek and Aronson Ave.  Expect delays in these areas due to trucks crossing the roadway.  Crews will be operating from 9:00 am to 1:00 am for approximately 2-3 weeks.
